Xcover
At the time of booking, we offer Xcover insurance. This is a form of travel insurance that will refund you if there is an unexpected situation that prevents you from fulfilling your booking.
For example:
- A death of an immediate family member
- An emergency at home (involving an emergency service)
- Illness or injury to you or an immediate family member (documented by a healthcare professional)
- Disruption to public transport
- Being called for Jury service
- Severe weather causing road closures
- A vehicle breakdown
For all refund applications, Xcover will require evidence such as:
- A death certificate
- A Drs note
- Documentation from a breakdown company or a garage
- Dated travel information showing a road has been closed by police
- A crime reference number
- Dated photographic evidence
Xcover will not pay out for:
- Disinclination to travel
- Change of work rotas by an employer
- Death of a friend or distant relative
- Minor illness (undocumented by a health professional)
- Inclement weather (e.g the roads are still open and the park is still open and operating)
It is very unlikely that Xcover will payout without suitable evidence. This is not an exhaustive list and for full details please visit the Xcover Website.
